Dubai Travel Requirements – Basics

Let us start with a valid passport which is mandatory for every international travel. Notably, there are some countries that do not require visas except for a valid passport. The validity must be at least three months from the entry date if you are a tourist and six months from the entry date if you are a business traveler. Moreover, make sure you have three or four photocopies of the same.

Furthermore, you should take six passport size photographs or maybe more as it may come handy in many places. If you have a marriage certificate and it applies to the situation, then please do carry photocopies of the same. Every traveler must have their birth certificates. If you are a worker flying to Dubai, then make sure you have your contract with you. Your sponsor for an employer might have given you this. If a sponsor is involved, then you might require a passport copy of the sponsor.

Notably, it is not a domestic flight which is why travel insurance is not optional. If you have fallen in love with the city and would like to spend more time there, then you have options to extend your visa. It depends on the number of days you are planning to stay. The types of permits can be checked with your sponsor or travel agent or the website itself.

Power of Photocopies

Do remember that if you have been denied access to the place already, then the appeal will not yield better results. The average expatriate might not be required to deal with bureaucracy. When you are in Dubai, make sure you carry on the required identification document likely National identity card and passport, among others.

Final Words

The labor officials might request an impromptu check to make sure that no one is residing in the place illegally. They might ask for passports or identity cards. You can always have photocopies of it if you are not comfortable carrying the original. This does not suggest repressive regimes, but it acts as an assurance to the tourists that they have nothing to fear about if they behave correctly.

Consequently, all you have to do is have all the documents and obey the laws and respect their culture. In return, you will be treated with kindness and generosity. At least, that is what all the travelers and residents Dubai say.
