Dubai has some amazing shopping venues, world-class dining and some of the most luxurious hotels in the world. It’s certainly the place to go! Think about nothing else but luxury, extravagance and the only place that comes to mind is Dubai.

The old part of Dubai is called Old Dubai. This was built in the thirteenth century and is known as the Persian quarter. During this time it was the biggest trading post in the world and was known for its annual sale of spices. It was such a thriving market that the marauding tribesmen would send their black slaves to work in the brothels here.

On the waterfront of Old Dubai you will find the Al Hajar Mountains. Once you have been to a local market in the UAE, you’ll know what you’re talking about when you see the mountains. You can hike from one mountain to the next and enjoy some breathtaking views! One of the best things to do here is to climb the “Blue Mountain”. Once you have conquered it, you will have an Adrenaline rush every time you see the sight.

Once you’ve reached the Blue Mountain, the next thing on your Dubai tours to-do list is to take a short stroll to the ancient souks that are located along the banks of the river. These soils were once used by merchants from India and Persia centuries ago. Some of the items you will find here are silk garments, silverware, utensils, mirrors, and a variety of other items. They’re some of the oldest buildings in the city and they’re very beautiful! One of the great things about this area is that many of these souls have been turned into restaurants or hotels and you will be able to spend a wonderful afternoon sampling local cuisine.
